From memory there are two types , one has a coarser thread , call pedders or walkinshaw tomorrow , pedders show them in stock about 25£ each , their post system is very quick

re reading your thread , a tie rod end (usa term ) ? and track rod end are the same part ? i am assuming you want the bit with the ball joint at the end of the rack ? if that’s the case then yes either pedders or walkinshaw can help , if you want the part that the track rod end joins to (appears to be a tie rod )? the next part before it the track rod end joins to the rack that maybe more difficult or not possible ?? the possible next route from there is a new rack, but pedders do do new racks , it’s a quick rack for a cv8 but in reality it’s just a standard aussie rack , again roger at pedders will be able to advise you

For the avoidance of doubt.
Is it the rod protruding from the rubber bellows at the end of the steering rack OR the track rod end BALL JOINT with a taper that fits into the wheel hub?

Hi it’s the rod that comes from the bellows to the ball joint end they do make this item but on eBay they all have to come from Australia

I would just buy a new steering rack from pedders. You will save yourself the trouble of fitting new tie rods and bellows should they split when you remove them.
The chances are there maybe a bit of wear in the rack anyway.
For some reason my car eats the outer track rod ends, so before you take anything off check yours for wear just in case.

I agree with the above , best to buy a new rack and do things that way , i’m not sure on lock to lock on a vxr if it will make it a quicker rack , but a big improvement on the cv8 , and to be honest at around 380£ it not what i would call expensive
