hello,

small chance just wondering if anyone had my old Monaro, 04' registered big boot pre-facelift model in red.

I had a private plate on so only remember a bit of the original, LB54 JWW maybe something similar.

Had big brake kit, headers/exhaust and few other bits. Sold to a nice bloke called Paul who lived down Norfolk way I think.

result !

Had that car for about 6 years between 2011 and sold it May 2017 and really enjoyed it.

Miss that V8 , don't miss the long drives to Monkfish though (I'm in Manchester) im aware they no longer trade will have been a loss to the Monaro community.

Was a great car think I had it dyno at high 380ish I think?

Have you had it long and enjoying it? Hope she is still running well. Any questions feel free to ask mate if I can help I will.

I purchased it from Paul around may 2018. Had a cracking drive back from Norfolk to the West Midlands!

Still going strong, currently in winter hibernation hopefully be back out next month.

Had the engine out of it last winter to repair a small bit of rust on the drivers chassis leg under the master cylinder. Only way to conduct a proper repair was to pull the engine!

Took the opportunity to renew the brake lines spigot bearing, ls7 clutch, engine/trans mounts, remote bleed line and a few other bits. Nice bill from rockauto!

All back together and running well last summer, currently running decats as I had some driveway clearance issues with the long tube headers and low cats.

Definetely a dyno print out for 380~ in the service file. Was this tuned before your ownership? I've always felt it may be abit generous would like to get it confirmed and perhaps retuned.

Great to hear gone to a good home, the work you've done including some good preventative maintenance is music to my ears.

Nice low mileage example still. I used to change clutch fluid every few thousand miles using syringe technique back in the day.

Swopping from the 200cell miltek sports cats to decats must make it sound bloody loud. The long tube headers did make the cats hang a little low I used it on and off as daily with young baby so sports cats a must for me.

I had it dyno twice I think. Both at awsome gti their rollers are known to be fairly realistic and not a sky high overs figure. They didn't sell me anything or do any work on the monaro I just booked in for their RR as used it before on my other stuff. No benefit or gain from them to bump the bhp up a bit i just took it as a sign the car healthy as I always had afr as well just as extra check.

The original ribbed induction pipe split it had an enclosed k+n filter kit with heat shield. The bracket snapped and split the pipe. Got a new one and i think i have a spare maf sensor somewhere. Ended up making an ind kit with a filter for the R35 skyline iirc

As for map yes was done with all mods in plac, it had ind kit, headers, sorts cat and cat back borla system when it was mapped. The map was done at monkfish a live road map followed by dyno rundown local to them as final check.
