So had the mot , a top bush in a rear hub had some play but still passed mot , plus the sump was a bit damp but not dripping , the bush i did at home a threaded 12mm bolt plus 12mm nuts and a hammer plus two sockets to push it out of the hub , it only goes out one way , about 2 hours later all sorted , the bush was about 100£ delivered , the sump gasket was a ramp job , called Dave at Walkinshaw about 2 weeks later i was there , rear crank seal was ok , car a ls3 ve2 maloo has an ls7 clutch fitted not the dual mass which is around 1800£ , clutch also seemed good , i mentioned about slightly vague handling and Dave helped me spend some money , so i had a thicket arb any way , so had some heavy duty arb links put on , plus at the front i had the two lower arms replaced in each side so 4 arms in total , the arms that were replaced are the ones that tend to fail any way , the uprated arms work out cheaper any way , the vague ness has gone plus it feels a lot more planted , it felt a big vague plus jittery before , So thanks to Dave for a good job done ,putting up with my numerous questions , a font of knowledge , and helping me spend money i am a bit poorer now but money well spent

Good to hear you have things sorted out and are happy wth the service you received from Walkinshaw's. We don't seem to hear much about them these days. I wonder if they are still busy with the older Monaros and VXR8's?
As MF are long gone I wil go there to get the rear subframe bushes replaced as they are still the original ones. I've no doubt that's going to be an expensive trip.
At least they have the equipment to realign the subframe probably which saves me messing about trying to get someone to do it correctly.

Walkinshaw will work on both the monaro and vxr8 , when MF was around then MF tended to do the monaros and walkinshaw the vxr8 , not too long a wait to get booked in with them for service or larger jobs

I've ordered some drop links from Pedders today (split rubber on o/s), coincidentally. When I paid online, the recipient came up as 'Monkfish Automotive Ltd.'

Walkies did some work on mine two years ago and I'm happy to say it was excellent.
