Australia Day - any interest in a (very) northern / Scotland meet?

(I already posted on FB group but aware not everyone does social media)

I'm heading to the Tartan Tarmac breakfast meet - coincidentally it falls on Sunday 26th January... perhaps a little cheeky to gatecrash, but I can't see that being a problem. I’ve attended the past 2 TT meets and I've seen several groups attending these. Would be good to meet some other owners and Aus Day sounds like a good excuse! TT meets are good events, interesting cars and well managed. Bacon rolls are great, the coffee less so. Good location just off the M74 at Larkhall. They marshal cars into position on arrival so if we wanted all Monaros/VXR8s/etc together we'd need to arrive together if we wanted all the V8s parked together.

Not a drive - just an early(ish) meet for coffee/rolls/chat.

Anyone interested?

Tickets need to be bought in advance and past few meets have sold out:
Post up if you're interested. I'm going anyway and already have my ticket - might be with some non-HSV/Monaro friends too.

How long you normally hang around for and do you bring your little ones?

I may come in the people mover with the wee ones - car sorn’d don’t fancy the taste of Scottish salt! (For the Ro obviously)

Normally arrived 9.45ish and stayed til 11.15ish, but some folks start leaving from 10.30 or so. I've not brought the kids so far but will have both for this one. Plenty of kids - both big and small - go along.

My Monaro's got a healthy anti-salt barrier biggrin

I'm likely to go to some of these throughout the year so perhaps another time smile

There's usually an Australia Day large meet at the Ace Cafe, North London. It used to be well covered on this forum.

That's what gave me the idea for this smile. London's just a tad far away unfortunately. Seen it posted on one of the FB groups, there's a decent number going to it again this year.

Few days to go until this. I'll be at Brookside Garden Centre (2 mins from the meet venue) from 9 for a quick coffee before heading up to event for 9.30. Remember you need a ticket in advance - details in first post.

Silver Monaro VXR, ALY reg plate.

Cheers,
Ally
