Hi all and happy new year!

I’m looking to buy a rear spoiler for my cv8 and wondered if anyone knew of anywhere over here that stocked them? I want the small (I believe it’s called ‘duck tail’) one. I’ve found a seller on eBay in Aus that sells them but it’s about £180 and that’s before it’s painted/fitted.

i put a volvo s40 spoiler on mine 37£ via ebay , it looks quite good , and something a bit different , the boot is curved so only one i could find that would fit , it does finish the back of the car a lot better

To my knowledge they are only available from Oz. I got one for mine a couple years ago (should be on my profile pic), despite the cost I'm pleased with mine, finishes off the back end nicely, more in keeping with the CV8's subtle styling.

Have you got a picture? Was it bolt on or stuck on?

Cheers

it’s a bolt plus a stick on , stick on probably enough on its own , i’ve just had a look on my phone and don’t have any photos , as i don’t have any photos to hand, if you look on ebay it shows a photo of the spoiler , it’s just the right curve for the monaro boot

If you just want a little flick, there's an aftermarket one which might fit the bill (or boot).

At Thunder road a lot of people were taking spoilers off. By all accounts they slow you down.

The natural shape of the boot lid gives it a little flick so I think something like that would just look odd.

The best and rarest colour, only 23 in the UK.
I think the V5 states Silver.
I bought mine new (the last one) from an online advert by Greens of Rainham, Kent. I thought it was Gunmetal Grey, from the online image.
I was not disappointed when I collected it at the Dealer.
Check my profile for a pic.

I love it. I’m seriously considering a full respray next year, hence thinking about a spoiler.........as much as I love my phantom black, I’ve got a flat n/s rear quarter and a few stone chips on the bonnet frown

This is what i put on mine , it could even be carbon wrapped but sometimes with things i think you can end up with a tacky looking finish on a nice car

Did you do all the work yourself?

I like the look of it from the back but the side looks like it has to cover the rear quarters more. Maybe just the angle. All to do with personnel preferences at the end of the day.

I can’t talk though. I can’t even decide on a wrap because I’d hate to spend the kinda money and end up hating it eek
