Hopefully no serious injuries. Looks like an unpleasant accident.

One less on the roads now frown

That looks horrendous to say the very the least, let's hope the driver and any passengers are OK.

Quite a few years ago there was another red monaro which ended upside down in a field with several occupants who escaped un-harmed. I'd met the driver some months earlier while our cars were at Monkfish.
That car was also flattened but in a considerably worse condition overall, if you could imagine that to be possible!

There's another pic on the original website showing a front on angle, and the driver's door is open and the window frame is intact, so I think either passenger side is worse, or just looks worse from that angle.

Owner was fine with barely a scratch, he is a member of one of the other facebook groups, but undeniably one less left on the roads.

Glad to hear that. The impression the local paper gave was that there were no serious injuries, so happy you're able to confirm that via your sources.

You're right that the other photo gives a better view of the driver's area, which seems to have held up better.

That road has seen a few deaths over the last few years, thankfully not this time!

When you look at the B pillar on a Monaro it looks pretty substantial, as does the thick looking A pillar. I wonder if the fact that the design of the front screen is so raked back it may have some inherent weakness which causes the roof to collapse in?
That particular car looks like it was well cared for and it appears rust free underneath. It's a great shame it's been written off.
But at the end off the day thankfully the driver walked away with minor injuries.

Was a good car, I owned it until late last year, had a supercharger on it. Shame, but hopefully owner is ok
