Hey guys - asked this Q on the Vauxhall forum but it was suggested you lot may be able to help. Recently bought a GM Z28 Camaro which came with a spare set of 4 of What I believed to be OEM Vauxhall 8Jx17" alloys. Can anyone here ID the 'Holden'???? vehicle these came from which would make it easier for me to search for a sparesmile
I'm looking for a spare to replace one of the Wheels which has been Kerbed, the wheel still holds the air pressure OK, so would be suitable as a spare, these wheel look great when fitted to the Camaro, they also make it easier to find tyres the original fitment 16" wheels & tyres are like hens teeth in UK.
I've trawled Fleabay etc. but there's nothing like 'em on there for salefrown
Does anyone have a single undamaged wheel similar to the wheel in the photo below for sale??

Part number is also there, 92082401.

https://www.genuinepartsearch.co.uk/?partnumber=92...

500 odd quid for one if they genuinely do have it. Aus may be your best bet...

Appears to be from a Commodore VX SS

Just get them refurbished. If you want to keep them.

They can fix wheels in pretty dire conditions without much issue now.

Thank you, thank you thank you - Awesome, the knowledge on PH never ceases to amaze methumbup
I've now have to get a wheel shipped from Aus - but hey that's easy surely.
It's incredible that Holden had wheels made in such small quantities for their cars, surely the Commodore VX SS can't have sold more than a handfull? How these wheels made it to UK is surprising, they've been with my Camaro at least 15years [previous owner mentioned they came with it when he bought it those 15 years ago!!] I think it fair to call 'em Rare in UK
Finally for all those other's on PH reading this thread this is what a Holden Commodore VXSS looks like [great colour too] smile

No worries, hope you get hold of one. Also worth trying Walkinshaw Performance to see if they are able to get hold of one. I believe they are closed until the New Year though.

Also on the ute version VU SS which a few have made to the UK.
They were on the series 2 versions as well, So from about Sept/Oct 2000 to Sep/Oct 2002
VX SS series 1 and series 2, VU SS Series 1 and series 2
There are some clones of them around to, so make sure they are GM wheels when you do find some.
Trying to find one in good condition...... that will be the difficult part...… and to get it to the UK??!!! mmmm……

Holden produced 211,125 VX Commodores over 2 years. V8s were very popular, so I’d guess at least 10% of those would be SS.

80,000 wheels over 2 years is pretty good volume, and wheel tooling is fairly cheap, as are wheels themselves (as in to buy for the manufacturer) so having unique designs for specific trim levels wouldn’t have been expensive.

The Commodore wasn’t a low volume car - in 2005 Holden built 153 thousand of them!

Hey Guys
Well I emailed all the links for the alloys - NO replies whatsoever, does anyone know whether it's possible to send something like an alloy wheel from Aus to UK? I've previously sent used alloy wheels from UK to Japan,Canada & USA without issues?
I'd have thought someone would have replied - even the Ebay Aus advert - NO replyfrown
Only other option would appear to buy a cheap ticket to Aus and carry a wheel back in my suitcasesmile

I'd rather NOT do 150+MPH on a repaired wheel smile
As I've said previously I'm happy to use the wheel as a spare, repairing it wouldn't improve it IMO - undoubtably plenty would dis-agree, but it's my neck on the line here.
Only another wheel will do.

Not making excuses but people and businesses are sometimes still on holiday until the coming Monday.
How much to send it? Probably about $200, as long as it is under 20kg it could go by normal post. Postage has gone up a lot in the past 10 years.
The high street couriers are not cheap when I have used them.

Second this, most Aus places are quite until next week. I’d also say if you are letting them know your in the UK they may ignore you. Not as many good / cheap postage options in Aus and we are a lazy bunch. Plus, if it was me and your emailed about these wheels I’d assume your having me on.

Try a business / wreckers (called a parts breakers here? ) Here is a few link for you:
