Passenger seat stuck in forwards position
Discussion
Hi all
The passenger seat in my Monaro is stuck all the way forwards and won't go back. i can hear a click when I lift the lever and the same click when I press the return button but the seat doesn't move. The rest of the functions work just not the for/back.
Have tried giving it a shove while holding the button but doesn't help.
Anybody got any ideas?

Definitely the first thing to do as mentioned is to check both tracks for coins or other debris on both track runners.
If you have a clicking sound when you operate the seat then at least you have power. I would remove the switches from the lower seat trim and clean them with electrical contact cleaner and see if that works.

As mentioned check nothing jammed..and try the unplug seat..plug back in. Resets the electronics
Watch you don't un-plug the side airbag connector under the seat. That'll give you an air-bag dashboard warning light that needs special tech to reset.Edited by bigwheel on Monday 4th November 00:45
And airbag light can be cleared with some software and an easily made cable, so not the end of the world
OP, not want you want to hear but I had a vaguely similar issue with my original seats, it was so long ago I can't actually remember which part of the movement didn't function, possibly the backrest tilt, anyway, it was an issue with the actual control box, I ended up getting a new set of seats anyway so never got to the bottom of it.
Hopefully it's just something wedged as above
