I would try the old favourites, Pedders UK and Walkinshaw Performance. I'm pretty sure that you could get the part you are after separately, but that was a few years ago.
Depending on the age and mileage of your car, It might be easier getting a complete new steering rack, but you need to consider the possibility of having to replace steering pipes should they be corroded. I believe some power steering pipes are difficult to get hold of these days.

I've noticed that this seems to have become a favourite 'hobby horse' of MoT testers over the last few years. frown

I check the MoT histories of many cars when I'm looking at potential purchases and this crops up a lot along with "rusty brake pipe ferrules."

If there really is slack in the rack itself, it would depend on whether the parts are available of if they can be detached from the rack itself. Only taking off the steering rack gaiter would likely reveal if this is possible unless others already have experience of this?

The other option is getting it repaired , there a quite a few companies that do repair them , personally i would get a pedders rack , my only concern would be the strength of the power steering pipes , but again companies out there can re build those pipes too which i had to do on my senator
