Ok so I fought the car for a while yesterday when fitting the front radius rod bushings. One of the four 13mm nuts that holds the bush plate onto the chassis has rounded.
Does anyone know the exact nut specs (pic below for clarity)

i think but maybe wrong that they are 13 mm nuts , knock a 12 mm socket on to it then try unscrewing it , then replace the nut , are you upgrading with the road response pack from pedders

The nut in question is on the drivers side, confined by hoses right in front. I can't get the space to knock a socket on or even get a wrench on it. I've resigned to cutting the nut off, it's a little battle worn from my Dremel ! I will need to replace it

i’m pretty sure that a standard lock nut will work as more than likely metric rather than imperial

I'm thinking of just taking another of the nuts to either a decent hardware shop or an engineering business in town to determine exactly what the thread type is - I know it's a 13mm but can't be arsed with chasing round guessing.

Inspired by your post, I've decided to bite an extremely cheap bullet and buy some M8 X 1.25 flange lock nuts.

Are you sure you ordered the right size, m8 are really a small nut?

Unless I am very much mistaken, M8 is a 13mm nut. I have been known to be wrong previously though!

The front gets all the crap and what not thrown at it. Get it all nice and clean and protected when refitting. Be easy if you ever need to remove again then

Yeah I will, thanks. I'm hoping I can get the impact wrench on the drivers side large nut; that'd save me lots of time and energy.

For future reference, M8 X 1.25 pitch nuts fit the bush-chassis fixings. I went for nyloc nuts.

I had mine done when I first bought the car. It is an easy job so im told.

The radius rod bushings job was completed today. I used a nut extractor to remove the last 13mm nut. The second 24mm main nut was as big a pain in the arse as the first one was.

Review: on first drive, the steering has tightened up and is more direct. Not night and day but worthwhile nonetheless.
