Bit of a random one here.......
I’ve driven a lot of cars but I’ve never had so much travel in a throttle pedal as I have in my Monaro.
Is this normal? Can the travel be shortened? I feel like I have to push it down as far as the clutch for WOT.
Just wondered if there’s an easy solution. I’d like to halve it if possible.

Can’t say I’ve heard that one before. Assuming you don’t have an 04 cable throttle, it will be electronically controlled so your options are limited. Never had a problem with mine if I’m honest.

Perhaps you just need a more responsive engine, may I suggest a supercharger?

The OP has changed his username, formally matt-wqs1w, just bought the 04 black heavily modified CV8 with massive spec list including the Fast 102mm throttle body etc., so maybe that's why it feels different?
Can't say my 2004 throttle feels unusual at all which would be the same as his pre-modifications.scratchchin

Hi Matt,
That’s just the way they are, remember it’s an old car underneath. You’ll get used to it as you learn the car. Just drive it and enjoy it and keep blowing the hot hatches away! driving
Edited to add: Yes he has the 04 throttle cable wormus, it’s my old modified 04 CV8

I can kind of understand where OP is coming from.

Full throttle does feels like a bit of a stretch compared to other cars.
I think the fact the pedal is hinged also makes it feel a little strange.

It’s perfectly normal though.
