If it had anything to do with Vauxhall, it will have had a 'car passport' - a credit card sized bit of card with vin, radio and key codes on it. These are not supposed to be kept in the car, but I expect most are tucked away with the owners manuals in gloveboxes.
OP you can get a replacement car passport from a dealer for about 20 quid. Might need your V5 to do so.Edit: realised being Holden it'll probably be different but worth a shot with the VIN. I'd email Holden or HSV. The latter came back to me really quickly with an enquiry I had about the alloys before.

Thanks Lincsls1. I’ll see how I go with Walkinshaw first as I also want to ask about the safety mode fault I’m experiencing.
From memory a new pass card should be about £25. In Aus in pretty sure Holden now give the codes out for free, so I’ll wait until i get back if I need to - or may even try sending the father in law to ask with my details.
As for the issue you had programming keys, I got so used to visiting the local shopping centers back home where the guy would sell replacement fobs (using your blade) tand give you a set of instructions you’d use to program the key. Have done two keys that way in two different places without a problem

Yes, I'd read about the manual key programming option by following a certain sequence, however it absolutely didn't work on my car and other Monaro too I've read, but I think it might be a 2004 variant issue, as people with the facelift cars which I believe to have a different ECU were able to use this method.
Haha, I’ve been onto Holden by email. The form needed and Aus number so I gave my mobile which is switched off. They tried to call over night and emailed me asking for some details and said they’d send me the radio pin.
I also asked for all the other security data.
After I get it I’ll update the FAQ page
