Picked the beast up from Graham of Picodors on Thursday afternoon & it looks fantastic with the 05 bonnet fitted :)
Drove it the 120 miles back home & loved every minute of it, seeing the looks & double takes of the people & I cruise home with a huge smile on my face.

I also wish I had a pound for every person who asks to hear the sound of the engine & of course I show them :)

Only problem I have @ the moment is that it doesn't fit in my garage as its too long & I need to shift the stuff that I have in there as I the Punto fitted no problems.

If someone can give me an e-mail address I will send some pics over for them to put up as i don't seem to be able to.....

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,

Glad to hear you like your new toy.

I had the same issue with the garage. The old car glided in and allowed a workbench at the end. The Commodore is massively bigger so had to loose the workbench & carpet the walls. It's a good incentive to keep the garage tidy though

If you speak nicely to uk_hsv I'm sure he can find space for your pictures and publish them in this thread for you. Would be great to see her.

P7VXR

The wait was well worth it.

It is a great car & i'm so happy with it.

I will leave the exterior as it is (maybe thinking of getting a small boot spoiler @ some point)
but will only mod the engine side of things.

Will get the exhaust soon as I've got a little money coming from selling a engine I have in the garage (as soon the engines gone the beast can go in )
then I will save for the other mods, remap, short shifter etc.

Thanks for the comments guys

Hi Rob. Recognise the car from the pics on the Civic Type R forum. Looks gorgeous! Might be just about ready to join you. Currently in negotiations for a black 350bhp series 2....we';ll see if they can improve the trade in price on the CTR first...

Hello mcd the bonnet was fitted when I bought the car from Graham (User name: picador) @ Picadors so I don't know what the cost was in the end.
But in a earlier post www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=171894&f=69&h=28 there is a price mentioned by Picadors about half way down of £550 inc VAT for spraying & fitting the bonnet to a second hand vehicle that I was considering @ the time.
Best thing to do is contact him.

The Jackel
Thank you for your comment.
I am so happy with the Monaro

Ali_T
Hello sir, thought I recognised the user name.
Yup she is a beaut.
Hope you do join soon as the Monaro is a great car & I'm so happy I bought 1 & have these people on here to ask anything I need to know
I test drove the 350hp version but sadly could not afford it so I went the bonnet on the instead.
Truth be known I will struggle to pay for this car but i really don't care as i love it so much.
Hope you make the change.....

Keep us posted
