The A/C on my Ro has never worked since I bought it last year, apart from a brief spell after a re-gas until it lost it all again after a few weeks.
Anyhow, a local Bosch service centre successfully repair it last week, trace the leak to the smaller pipe that runs along the inside wing under the expansion tank and air box. They chopped out about 8 inches and spice a new section in. Job done!
The chap said the chassis leg which the pipe runs on top of was covered in plenty of dirt and debris and suspects this pipe has suffered from sitting in that and corroded until thin enough in to start leaking. They needed to pressurised it to 10 bar to find the leak. Anyhow all cleaned up now and repaired, but might be worth checking this area and giving it a good clean.

This is the last item on my Monaro's reasonable long list of issues now sorted! The car is now 100% functionally, and everything works as it should!
Happy days smile

Good to hear it’s sorted , it’s quite a common failure area as it rubs on the chassis and eventually the pipe leaks , i cut some petrol hose up and put it round the ac pipe to stop it rubbing , it failed on my 04 ute so ended up putting a new piece of pipe on
