05 cv8 Small boot/twin pipe/nostrils. Had a slight throttle body prob for years which Monkfish said not to worry about unless it got worse. Does seem to be playing up more often now, revs surge, lumpy running and occasionally cuts out when coming to a standstill. Any one know best place to get one? Just spoke to Brett the breaker and sods law he chucked em all two weeks ago lol

Cheers

Chucked them all? How strange to do that!
What about the other known breaker 'Gary'.
Or try Neil at NJW...

From what I remember he bought some spares from Monkfish when they closed. Worth a question.

Lucky for you I was looking at these last week. I don't really need one but was thinking of buying a spare in case parts dry up completely.

Let me know how you get on. If it's easy I'll get one smile

No risk of parts running out, LS1 is hugely popular engine that is being used as an engine transplant to older Holden classics in Australia

Except the Hitachi throttle body he's looking for was only used for one year in a small number of LS1 cars.

Ah ok, they are from the US right? I believe it’s the same over there, LS motors used for older classics because of their reliability and useable torque

I got a brand new throttle body for my LS2 from Rock Auto, they were half the price of anywhere in the UK, even taking into account shipping and import duty - OEM part too.

Yes chucked away the few that i had frown !!! But you just can't keep everything for ever and its the odd ball in the range only used on the cv8 facelift which is ltd numbers over here.
Common in states as used on trucks.
Can be upgraded to later bigger silver and gold blades using adaptor cable i believe.
