VXR8 for £7.5k ????

Does anyone recognise this car? https://www.gumtree.com/p/vauxhall/vauxhall-vxr8-/... The car appeared about a month ago with asking price £15000 ( https://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/118987139/... ) and now reappeared with £7.5k?! I suspect scam as I contacted the guy and he claims the car is in Germany and he wants half the money via shipping company (the company accepts bank transfer only?!)

For it to be real the seller would have had to bought it for 15k from Aberdeen, went back down to Rotherham, shipped it over to Germany then as soon as it got there decided to sell it for half the price he bought it for but only if he receives half the money for the unseen car via a bank transfer.

I'm going to have to go with it being a scam.

If it's anywhere near Cologne I have a mate there who'd probably quite enjoy going to call his bluff

I will be driving to Poland in 2 weeks so I offered I could pop in to take a look at the car but he ignored me

Happy to fly out there personally and will therefore avoid the shipping company.

Can you ask him for his/her address we can then book flights and be over on the weekend.

I believe it belongs or belonged to someone on the facebook group. A scammer has repeatedly cloned the advert for a few weeks now!

If it smells fishy its usually because its fish......I think you answered your own question...was £15k now £7.5k....SCAM
