New Holden ute owner!
Discussion
Hi guys, not ventured into this part of the forum before, but thought I would say hi as I have just bought a Holden Ute.
I had been living in Australia over the winter and had to drive a Ford ute for work which I loved. Now I'm back in the UK I was on the hunt for motorcycle track day transport plus a day to day vehicle, and didn't really fancy a van and most pickups were huge or mainly double cabs so not large enough for bikes anyways.
Fuel economy and 4 seaters are not really a consideration, and on a whim remembered my time in Australia and did a quick search for utes for sale. Anyways, found one locally, needs some tidying but in general very good condition and in exact spec I would have wanted. Picked it up last night!
Will get it cleaned and some pictures loaded up tonight
Any recommendations for best places for spares in the UK? First things on the list are broken ashtray lid and it has a crappy induction kit fitted, so maybe a good opportunity to fit an over radiator induction...

One of these things...…Sure somebody will be along shortly with where to get them cheaply in the UK. The originals in Oz cost AUD$25

Gave it a quick scrub up this evening after work and got a few pictures. Its being put straight to work tomorrow picking up my 2 new motorcycles so I have stored the load cover in the garage tonight.
Its a standard 5.7 LS1, 4 speed auto, 50,000 genuine miles backed up by MOT history back to 2004. It hasn't been used much at all in the last 5 years, so has a few usual little jobs that need doing but so far I am very very happy with it
Im sure I will have plenty of questions but will do my best to research online before bugging all you guys on here

Dinitrol is very good for undersealing cars , i used about 4 cans via ebay was about 60£ and came with an applicator , check brake and fuel lines as can be prone to rust , the ebay photos under side look very good , i re mapped mine and power wise that’s all i did , but to be honest getting a lower geared diff would make a lot more difference , the modding slope is a slippery one and can be £££ if you go that route , i did a big bore single exhaust and an electronic cut out which worked well on the noise department but no quicker , and also wider tyres at the rear and later on the front , buy good tyres as there won’t be any traction control and it can be lively in the wet as i found out on the m25 oopps !
