Afternoon all, so I took the monaro for a run up the cheddar gorge on Monday......video to follow.....and I have noticed a ticking noise. I only here it on tick over and its like a piece of string or something is on the prop shaft and slapping into something. It doesn't sound bad, just I guess it could to. Thoughts?

If it's when the car is stationary and it's not a lifter or one of the drive belts it maybe a slight leak around the exhaust manifold?

Oil level OK? Any ticking I've had has always been from my lacklustre maintenance missing a drop in oil level.

Thanks for the responses.

Oil level is fine. I guess its probably something loose........I will need to get it on a ramp and take a good look at it. Once the mk2 cavalier rebuild is finally complete this may take some time off the road for fettling.....we will see.
