Sounds like a power steering pump issue.
I would just check the basic things first, fluid level, make sure there are no fluid leaks and all the nuts and bolts are tight. Don't forget to check the drive belt and pulleys.
You could probably eliminate any brake or suspension faults by simply running the engine whilst stationary and turning the steering wheel from lock to lock. If you still have juddering it's likely to be a steering pump.

Yep had this same thing , unfortunatly never got to exactly what caused it as it went after switching on and off .
Suggestions where , Sticking caliper , Dodgy ABS sensor , Prop bearing and tyres with weakened side walls

I did refurb the calipers and ive swapped front to rear with the wheels . hasnt happened again but was very intermitant anyway.

One of my front brake calipers started sticking a few years which resulted in violent steering judder.
It was taken apart and put back together again, never had any problems since.

Yeah I've experienced this twice -

1) violent shaking through the whole car, put in neutral made no difference until I came to a stop. Drove home carefully - result, prop shaft carrier bearing.

2) shaking through steering, felt a bit like no 1 above but more through the steering. Thought it was a steering issue until the brake caliper seized fully. This was an emotional final mile home! Caliper repair kit, clean up and refit/bleed, no issues since.

I had the same issue, did it a few times when at low speed with lock on. I had the car on a ramp for ages. But I could not replicate the fault. The rack was the initial suspect but it was taken off refitted when no fault could be found and the alignment redone.
It’s off for its first proper outing this week.
I don’t like the thought in the back of my head that the issue may come back when travelling fast but it’s had an extensive check by me and a real mechanic
