Propshaft length
Discussion
Yes only one doughnut at the front. But I believe the 04 cv8 has only one.
Reason Im asking is there is a listing for the 04 gto for ally and carbon props so was wandering if they'll go on the vt2
Im not worried about clunks with poly engine, trans, subframe, and diff mounts, lightened fly, and kaaz diff.
The clunks are my diff actually doing what its supposed too ;-)

You are not re-inventing the wheel here. I've done both. I fitted a Drive Shaft Shop Carbon single piece and it fit both my VX2 GTS and the CV8 Monaro. Its been on both. The front is a spline fit with yoke and the rear has an adaptor which connects to the spider. You would need to check on the VT2 as I think it has a standard UJ flange on the diff, but you could replace that with an LS1 5.7 litre spider. I can give you one of those as I have plenty. For your information there are two propshaft lengths all the cars and coupes have one and the big limo's and Utes (up to VZ) are 150mm longer. Been there done that.Reason Im asking is there is a listing for the 04 gto for ally and carbon props so was wandering if they'll go on the vt2

Well im glad you've been there and done that. Good for you.
I'm so sorry for re-inventing the wheel, and asking about something someone has done before. How rude of me. I am of course inferior.
A Simple 'yes they are the same' would have sufficed, thank you.
Sorry about the lack of intonation in text! It wasn't meant to sound offensive, just to help you out. My comments were made with the nicest intentions. In future I will keep quiet and you can carry on. fk me, I even offered to send you a part free of charge, what the fk to people expect on here?I'm so sorry for re-inventing the wheel, and asking about something someone has done before. Or should I keep this simple with a fk you?!

I'm not normally one to be shocked Stevie, but I was flabbergasted, with that condescending reply. He's definitely off my Christmas card list. I've helped loads of guys on here previously, but with this one I realise why the forum is going down the pan!

I'd just like to express my gratitude for this very comprehensive and helpful reply 'MyM8V8'. I was just tweeting with Tom (Wookie) Ford t'other day - he asked "if Piston Heads was still a thing" ... and I responded, with others, to explain it was still used for more technical and specific questions - and how great the posters are. This is a great example of the best behaviour - and I think your response has the potential for helping a lot of folks.Keep up the great work - thank you and best regards,
Ian
