Hi guys.
Might be a silly question, but should I pull the fuel pump relay or something and just turn the engine a bit to get some oil moving before allowing the engine to properly fire.
Thinking the top will be rather dry now being stood for 4 months. For what its worth the oil has no mileage on it and its Royal Purple in a LS1.
Thoughts please?

4 months is nothing - Just start it. Obviously let it idle rather than revving the nuts of it when it fires up.

I've been away for 4-6 months many times in the past and got straight back in the car and started it - if the battery hasn't died that is.

If you depress the throttle pedal fully before cranking it then it won't fire up lets the oil circulate first.

ensure battery is charged...start it and drive as you would normally.

Simple.

You learn something every day, mind you I don't have the balls to try it, knowing my luck it would fire up straightaway and there would be bits of engine all over the garage!!!!!!

Mine sits for 3 or 4 months every year, never had any problems.

Before I put it away I put some stabiliser in the tank and fill it with fresh fuel. Then park in the garage on a trickle charger. Simple.
