Anyone running their LS on LPG these days?

What sort of mpg are you getting? Any issues?

And any recommendations on kits that work well with this engine.

I've done about 120k on LPG with an LS2. It's a dual vaporiser Prins system and seems to work really well. It looses about no more than 5 bhp across most of the rev range, and a little more at the very top end when it was dynoed back to back with petrol.

If you're working out the running cost of LPG Vs petrol, you use about 20% more LPG which is normal for any converted car.

I've not really had any issues with mine; in fact it has been very reliable. It is worth running LPG specific spark plugs though. They aren't cheap, but they work a lot better and to be fair last ages (NGK LPG5 is the part number I use).

Couldn't tell you the mpg number I was getting in my 6.0, but I seem to remember I worked it out to be a financial equivalent of a car that does ~30-35mpg.

I had a flat spot in the top 3/4 of rev range, but that could be mapping.

I think it was a BRC system.

ive done 40k on my Monaro on lpg. I chose my installer carefully ,very little damage to the car ,ie holes etc.
mounted things to existing brackets . no holes drilled in bodywork, a lot think have a towbar fitted.

Mine loses about 25 bhp at full power. best thing I ever did , works out a tank does approx. 240 miles for less than 30 quid

It has a single vapouriser and nearly all hidden under the turtle shell cover

Thanks. Do you know what kit you are running and who was the installer?

The kit is a mismatch of bits best suited for the application .I know it's a king ECU. I did post on here when fitted and the installer is on here too
