Does anybody know if you can get performance friction pads for AP brakes?
Has anyone used Pedders own make ceramic brake pads?
As always any info appreciated.

Walkinshaws put DS2500's on mine and binned the EBC yellow stuff pads which were horrific. I've run 2500's on a few of my cars and I rate them. Mine is an AP big brake set up as well

How are you getting on with the APs now John?

Thanks guys.
I've had the car off the road for about 4 months now, so ill probably tax it in May. I only covered about 1800 miles on the AP's last year and most of that was on long runs.
The DS2500 pads are just too dusty for me and the initial bite from cold is disappointing, so they will go the journey.
Overall the APs are OK, but I was expecting a bit more from them if I'm honest.
Anyway, once I change the pads over and sort out a few other jobs out I'll report back on them.

I agree that they dust a bit. Best solution is to make sure you treat your wheels with some form of sealant to protect against brake dust. As far as bite, yes I can't disagree you need to stand on the brakes a bit to get them warmed up. I haven't done that many miles since changing over the pads on my AP's, so I am interested to see how good/bad they are now I am running new pads.

Thanks for the info that sounds pretty much identical to my experience with AP's.
Just out of interest, do you have much in the way of brake pedal travel before the pads begin to bite?
The reason I ask is the brake pedal travel on my car seems to be no different to when I had the standard brakes fitted.
I do have some new wheel sealant to try out once I get them all cleaned up.

My pads seem to bite where i'd expect them to on the pedal. Not to high or low. With regards to wheel sealants, Race Glaze do a nano wheel sealant which is excellent. Easy to apply, smells good and very durable. One bottle will do about 8 set's of wheels, so you can protect them at least twice a year for quite a few years from the same bottle. The only pain is that they really need to be done with the wheels off the car if you want to do them properly

OK thanks, I'll be sorting the wheels out first anyway.
I might also try some sealant out on the shiny red AP's as they are still effectively new and I'd like to keep them looking that way.
