servicing and spare parts
Discussion
They are pretty easy to work on even for a person with basic car knowledge , they have their quirks like any car , other than picador what dealers do support the car ? i’m not aware of any near me , i expect a dealer in luton does work on them , but i don’t think my local dealer would work on it , i don’t know ? if i did service locally i would supply the parts and just pay the labour , for more involved jobs i would use Topcats or Walkinshaw
I went to a Vauxhall dealer this week to ask about parts for my Ro. No dice - the part numbers didn't even register on their system, and I was advised to go to Reading Vauxhall who were a Monaro specialist.
Most servicing tasks shouldn't be beyond the home mechanic, and a trusted local mechanic should be able to do it all - it's only a car after all.

I ordered three oil filters for my 04 CV8 through my local Vauxhall dealer under the correct oem number, keeping two as spares, then bought Royal Purple engine and gearbox oils and entrusted the work to my local village garage (admittedly they also service Ferrari’s and Jensen’s etc). So far so good.
I’ve also used another local garage to change the prop centre bearing and they also sent the prop away to have a new U/J fitted at a very reasonable cost. Couldn’t fault them tbh.
