I have my 04 Cv8 on an agreed value of 15k - mods are quick rack, pedders coilovers + road response pac front and rear, VXR brakes, Wortec performance pac, ripshifter and Harrop diff cover. Was 10k approx in all on a car who's ordinary value is probably around 8k.

Thanks Dave, that's exactly the type of information I was looking for.

Unfortunately the moderators seem to think I was asking for a value to sell my car (which is against the rules) and removed my post.

If anyone else with agreed value insurance wouldn't mind giving the same sort of info that would be really helpful for me before I renew my insurance next month.

Many thanks,

Trevor

I need to sort this at the risk of sounding stupid, what is the process?

I've just found out I can insure my car for 15k without an increase in premium, or insure it for 20k for a small increase.
Mind you when I think how much I've spent on it over the years it's nothing to get excited about really.
To replace my car id have to beg or borrow, 30k for a half decent Mustang, and they aren't any better than what I've already got!!!!!!

I had a conversation with the good people at Adrian Flux who set it all up. In a nutshell, it's separate policy that would make up the difference between what the actual insurance compay offer and the agreed value in the case of a write off or similar.

A plan can also arrange agreed value insurance, I am sure there are other's, including Adrian Flux, who can also offer this service.
I have a valuation figure in mind but it would be really helpful to have a few more examples, to get a better feel for a realistic figure to value my car for all of the work that has been completed over the last 9 years.
