As above , once every trip normally as it’s warming up the cel comes on , push the reset button it goes away , code read it with it on it’s showing no faults , i changed the 02 sensors twice now , it did slightly improve as in came on less with new sensors , no apparent air leak and i cleaned maff and throttle body , any other thoughts as to what it is please , car seems to be runing fine

Oil pressure switch at the back of the block. I didn't believe it either.

oh ok and that was the reason for your similar cel issue , i did a second code reading on a more usa style code reader app via iphone and no fault codes present , is it easy to change ?

Yeah, no codes present and appeared a couple of times a day. Easy peasy, there is a plug at the rear middle of the block. Plug off and long socket on, not sure of size. Swap and go.

What are your fuel trims?

Light should come on at 25%, but we used to see the odd 6.0 VXR trip them at 12% but NOT record a fault. Cant say i ever saw it on an 04 though. Still be worth checking.

Hi Roger , hope you are well , i’m a bit lost around fuel trims , 02 sensors appear to be working , worth disconnecting the battery for a while and see if things reset as i heard that may reset old fuel trims ? any other thoughts please thanks

Well Warren at Topcats kindly had a look at it via a better code reader , it’s the 02 sensors throwing a wobbly every so often , he said no point changing them , they are a good branded make , and where from rock auto and intended for the car , so in theory they should work , at least it not any thing serious , he said there are numerous different types of o2 sensors , in future probably order from Aus better chance of getting exactly the right part

That's good news.
