Hi All

I'm looking to upgrade the brakes on my big boot CV8 and I don't have a couple of k's to drop on AP's. Does anyone have any VXR brakes that they wouldn't mind getting rid of or know where to get some?

I've seen Bretts number on here so I'll give him a call as well. Before I go searching through gumtree in aus I thought I'd try posting something here.

Thanks all

Hi I have the callipers from my car in my garage from when I upgraded a couple of years ago , they’re off of a 5.7 vxr big boot model they’re factory red.i believe the brackets are there but if not you should be able to get hold of them, I was going to put them on eBay but never got around to it.where do you live by the way?

Hey Powermaster1

I'm in South Wales, I jump between Cardiff and Swansea. I'm unable to PM you. Could you send me a message with some 360 pictures please?
If you have the brackets I'll jump on those like a tramp on chips.

Hope the pics are ok if not I’ll give you my number 07730232022 and I’ll send them that way the brakes will obviously need re conditioning but I had no problems with them when the time came for brake service I opted for the upgrade as I needed discs aswell
Really appreciate man! I've sent you a text.

I believe the AP disc warping saga was solved a while ago, my plan is to get rid of my almost new Ferodo DS2500's and replace them with a full set of Pedders ceramic pads.
In theory no pad material transfer causing issues just smooth braking and low dust.
We shall see.

If stick with ferrus as a better option.

Discs don't warp ever

Who did the paint? Powdercoat or normal paint?

Nice - looking to do my brakes soon, and calipers could do with a refurb. Did you do those yourself?
