Hi - is anyone able to confirm the correct size needed to replace the main drive belt on a standard LS2 setup? Cheers

If you look at the belt it should have the length written on it. A local parts place should have one.

Update to confirm I've checked and the belt fitted to my LS2 is a 6PK1937, ordered for replacement

1937 to 1965mm as above is a hell of a range !

Seems a bit odd really unless someone has an underdrive crank pulley or something ?

Not sure but this is always a bone of contention isn't it? I'd imagine the shorter belt would hold the belt tensioner 'closed'. Mine, running the 6PK1965 is a standard LS2 engine.

A belt 30mm shorter should be impossible to actually install. The tensioner only has a limited range of travel.

The existing 6PK1937 removed easily enough when releasing the pre-tensioner all the way down and I wouldn't say it was a tight fit when putting back on and the tensioner took up all the slack. I'd say this is the correct length in my opinion, I've done some searching around and the consensus seems to suggest the 6PK1937 to 6PK1940 is the correct size. I'm sure the 6PK1965 would go on but can't help think that might be a bit slack in comparison.

Was there any reason why you were concerned about the size of your belt originally?

The belt has degraded and worn slightly on closer inspection and started squealing when cold over the past few weeks so due a replacement
