The switch inside the ash tray has stopped working.
I have had it looked at by a local garage, and they say the valves in the exhaust are working.
They have said the switch is at fault & it is a 6 way switch and don't know where to get hold of one.
Does anybody have any idea where I can get one.
Thanks Terry.

If you post a picture of it, I'm sure we can find one somewhere. Picture would need to be not only the front, but the back with wiring, showing ideally how it's mounted too.

There are a million of them out there, do you know if the switch is 3 pole single throw ? ( You said 6 way, was that a reference to the number of terminals on it ? ) You can google 3pst switch for instance and get.

It's a momentary rocker switch with centre off, if they've said 6 way or something presumably they do just mean the number of pins on the back of it.

Something like that I would imagine, someone else could probably confirm definitively smile

Thanks James, I think that is what the garage mean by 6 way.

That does look a little more believable. Kinda thought more than a simple on/off or momentary would seem strange for this kind of thing.

My ute has one of those rocker type switches which I find a pain as you either want it open or closed and not have to wait 5 seconds while trying to drive and the switch do it's thing.
I have bought a one touch switch from some dude in the U.S who specialise in supercar exhausts a few years ago but had problems with the switch not working and haven't got around to fitting the new one yet. I looked on there website but they don't seam to do the one touch switch anymore.
