VBOA, does anyone attend?

Hi all

Apologies if this is in the wrong section but would seem most appropriate here; does the PH Vauxhall lot ever have any presence at the VBOA Rally? I've been a few times in the past (not recently to be honest) and showed, was looking at going next year.

I went this year after an absence of nearly 10 years, i used to go with one of the other clubs when i was a show regular. Wasn't the same, the MH showground wasn't as good as Billing and the management were a bunch of over zealous hitlers who stamped on anything remotely fun. I understand next year it's at some airfield which has potential to be a lot of fun. I did notice a few PH stickers this year so i'm guessing a few go along with other clubs.

That's right, Sywell! I live 10 mins up the road (accomodation can be supplied at reasonable rates ) and actually had my wedding reception next door to the Aerodrome. I haven't been since it was at Billing but I would imagine Sywell will be a good venue. Which club will you go with? Last time I was there, I was with the Vectra C lot

I've always gone with MIG, i've not been a member since 2009 but rejoined just to go to the show this year, none of the lot i used to go with bar a couple do it anymore so there was no real atmosphere, it was good to see a few old faces and some new ones but compared to the 20-30 we used to have, there was about 10 this year and i think even that was a push.

Shame that numbers have dropped, I actually showed with MIG years and years ago when I had an Astra Sport. Reckon I may just go as visitor next year to have a nose around

Bahnstormers
Vauxhall drivers
Mig

As above , i’ve been going for years , probably the last 15 or so years , it’s a good weekend away , quite a bit of booze , a bbq , plus a good social event , there are often quite a few monaro’s and R8 there , plus lots of other makes and models old and new , i don’t know if the other v8 car drivers are on this site , billing was a good place to go i think it will end up back there at some point , but this airfield could be good fun too if the runway gets sone use
