So i ordered one for my fsti , old one was ok but i thought its getting on time to change it , i fitted it correctly as i have put many a rad in a car , the little aluminium pipe in the radiator the thread was not great it was too loose then it destroyed itself so had to take the rad off again as leaking every where , i emailed mishimoto this is 9 days ago no one has even replied yet , i paid out 30£ to get it repaired then today the pressure cap housing is now leaking plus the cap that came with the rad does not work and was not keeping pressure , so customer service is non existent build quality is just as poor , i’m left very dissapointed by them one for no contact two for a crap radiator

That's a pretty poor result from Mishimoto, as I've only heard good reports about them. I was going to replace my rad with one as my original must be on borrowed time by now. It might be worth contacting them again and mention that you have informed the owners forum of how disappointed you are and will update them with any result !!!

I’m on my third email to them and still no reply , i’m generally patient with a company as things happen , but poor quality item plus no contact after this time is bad , i even waited over a week before posting this to give them time , it’s put me off big time i would rather buy a standard rad , i’m just about to go and take their rad off for the third time now , so it’s cost me a loaf of coolant and time too

Have you tried actually ringing them (if you can find a number)?
It's a lot harder for them to ignore you if you're actually on the line to them.

Mishimoto are clearly made in China, but I got one myself and it was fairly decent.

I was swayed by their lifetime warranty. Even though I would never be able to make use of it as I had to modify the rad for my car, the fact it was there meant at least there should be some confidence in the quality.

I think Mishimoto are linked with Amber Performance in the UK ? They're maybe the main distributor ?

As for the Subaru....it's hard to beat a proper Nissens replacement unit.

The conclusion , as it’s not fair not posting the whole picture , it cost me another 30£ to get a new one sent out , there was a bit of a delay of them getting back to me , but after that delay they have honoured there side , i’ve not fitted it yet

I have just bought one of these for my Monaro, have to say quality looks good, having said that it can't be hard to beat the stock radiator which in my opinion is awful.

I will be fitting over Xmas and I believe a few mods are needed to get it to fit, my only concern is the refiting of the radiator cover as I believe the fill point on the radiator sits higher, I plan to modify the lower mounts so it sits a little lower.

If you are fitting it in a Monaro VXR there is no issue with cover so no need to lower mounting, just the slight mod on the left side looking at the engine, really easy.

Just completed installation and have to say was a joy to fit dead easy and looks stock with cover fitted.
I had to make a slight mod to fan housing to accommodate hose on right hand side also around magnetic plug to allow clear Access, otherwise what's not to like with the lifetime warranty, the stock radiator will eventually leak anyway.

I see also from the mishimotto website this radiator is no longer available.

most people who fit their rads have to tweak something somewhere , my subaru fit was fairly straight forward , i heard they are just a branding company they buy them put their mark on them and sell them on , they look impressive i’m just wondering how long they last , i’m sure a lot of people have had no issues but a number of people have as per posted on sites , i paid another 30£ on top for a new rad to be posted out when mine failed , they may even produce them for 30£ who knows , i believe chinese made
