I would just put a tuned monaro engine into it , it often costs the earth or causes big headaches swapping an engine for another , unless the car is designed for it , a friend of mine put a lotus carlton engine into a carlton estate plus put an auto box , it always seem to have issues and cost a load
Sadly I'd be inclined to agree, getting a factory dodge ecu (assuming that's what comes with the engine) talking to the Monaro BCM will be.... Hard. Also, nobody else will have done it, so he'll be learning it all himself.
And then ultimately, you'll end up with... A worse engine than a decent ls1?
If he went completely standalone ecu (£££) then I imagine at least there'll be some experience online of wiring it in to a Monaro, either a haltech and check the aus forums, or something American and check ls1gto.com etc.
Do the hemis just bolt up to a t56?
