Has anybody fitted a lower front control arm to a Monaro? I want the inner and out bushes replaced with poly to finish the front end off. I saw pedders advertise a complete control arm with the ball joint, but it looks like standard rubber bushings which I don't want.
On the rear suspension I have a complete rear end pack and uprated anti roll bar bushes, I seem to remember that some of the remaining rubber bushes should not be replaced with poly, but I can't recall which ones. If anyone can remember what's what!!!! I would appreciate it.

I'm in the process of poly bushing mine and I'm a fan of SuperPro bushes. The link below shows the full range:

I order mine through TDC Automotive. They don't always hold them in stock but they can get them within a couple of weeks.

I was advised by monkfish that the inner control arm bush was a step to far for normal roads but the outer one for the tie rod was ok....good luck undoing the big nut on the back of the tie rods mine were tight as F#*k

I didn't know that about the inner bush, I wonder why it's too much for a road car?, and yes the outer tie rod nut looks a bit challenging, that's why I've been putting it off !!!!!
It looks like a fun job over the winter months.

The rear trailing arm and the tie bar do not form a perfect arc so as the suspension compresses the tie bar has the effect of pulling on the inner bush which if you have a compliant bush it can live with if its poly it will either wear it out or have the effect of trying to lock the suspension and finding compliance in the other bushes. Its not much but its there yup old rubbish design.

Used whiteline arms with poly bushes on mine when I overhauled the underneath. (part number wa130ar & wa130al)

Note: --- I believe there are different ball joints sizes, please check you have the right ones. Mine is a CV8 2004 Model.

Thanks for that, did you notice any vibrations or harshness through the steering wheel as whiteline use uprated inner and outer bushes?

I did not notice any difference, however I would say the ride was quick hash before anyway, all the other bushes where already poly + coilovers etc.
