Thanks for the help with my head unit back along - I'm sure it won't be the last time!

no plans on replacement. i sold the car on as i was no longer really driving it, it was doing less and less miles each year it did 1500miles last year and less than 1000 this year before i sold it and it had been on the road nearly 6 months. (previous years where no better) so i did not see the point it keeping something that's costing me a chunk of money not to use.

Hmmm I did about 300 miles in mine this year. Yet it costs me sod all so it sleeps in the garage. I know I’d regret selling so I don’t

I worked out that my Monaro cost me about £5 per mile last year....

Man maths says that’s a pretty good deal.

you must have a better deal on Insurance, Tax, Mots and servicing than me then as i honestly worked it out to just shy of 1K a year to tax insure service, mot to not drive it, and that's before anything else

Insurance £500/y (limited millage policy)
Service £200/y
Tax £180 (6 Months)
MOT £50

to me that's a lot of money for something im not using

Of course you must make your own choices, I try not to think about it as I spend a lot more money on other stuff like bills and my annual rail ticket to London (£5k). The Monaro is a guilty pleasure.

Insurance is £350 for me with all mods declared and I only tax it for the summer months by direct debit. I should sell it really but nobody will pay what it would take for me to let it go.

Good luck in whatever you do next. smile

oh i understand the spending more money n dull things, we all have that bills and transport to work is never fun. but i do have a number of guilty pleasures to keep me occupied.

who know si could be back, but for now i have made the smartest discussion for my situation.
