Sorry I can't recc. a particular tracker as my HSV doesn't have one, Norwich Union just want CAT 1 alarm and at £650 p.a for full business use + spouse I'm not going to grumble.
However, with many cars now being stolen by the thiefs taking the car keys first, or even car jacking, I reckon having a tracker is a good idea. It appears that trackers vary considerably in what they can do, so I'd get on the net & find one to suit.
The other advantage of a tracker is that it will not affect the cars original security system. I know some owners have had problems by fitting alarms on top of this.

How are Adrian Flux with heavily modded cars? Worth knowing as these cars tend not to stay "standard" for long.
Know someone whose home was broken into recently, he heard the door being kicked down, by the time he got downstairs his Golf (tracker fitted) was being driven away. The Police had a car in the area that was equipped with Tracker equipment & found it in less than an hour of it being reported, undamaged. Would almost certainly have been smashed up or burnt out had it not had a tracker.
The second owner of my first HSV had it nicked when thieves took the keys from his office during the day, no tracker fitted!
With it not being possible to replace my car with a new 4dr HSV, I am seriously thinking that a tracker makes sense regardless of insurance requirements.

Putting aside insurance companies demands, apart from the technical issues with aftermarket alarms (they tend to blow the circuitry that links the fuel pump and to the control unit) I do feel safe in that my Clifford Concept 600 keeps the car protected, even with the keys it does not mean you could nick it either, downside is I can’t drive it away sometimes (LOL). I also have the RAC Trackstar system that includes a direct Sat-Com link for emergencies, reasonable if you don’t sell the car on and great peace of mind.
All my cars are with Tesco & they want CAT 1 approval on the HSV, hence the Clifford install.

Very wise Will, I'll ask you about your Tracker when we eventually meet. I don't reckon you'd be able to nick my car as it has a CAT 1 on top of the HSV ESS, but would be easy if you had the key & alarm fob.
Also heard of an HSV being towed away, which is where a Tracker would come in!
