It's that time of year and I'm considering agreed value insurance. The tricky thing is, my current insurer says they will look at the market to establish its current value. Given there are very few Monaros LS2 around and most are decent money, is it worth paying £200 more for an agreed value?

Has anyone been stung with a market value insurance write-off?

Cheers

Blimey! £200 (extra) for an agreed value? Seems very steep.
If its a daily driver and does reasonable mileage I suppose its at more risk than a garage queen so might be worth the extra. Doesn't sound as bad when you say its less than £20/month.

I've been thinking about this as well.
I have my car insured for 12k, but I've spent way more than that on it over the years, never mind the cost of the base vehicle.
If anybody has any input on this subject, we're all ears.....

With Adrian flux, agreed value premium was a shade over 140. Total insurance cost was 566 for my cv8 and this is for 5000 miles max per year.

Strike that - It was £42 this year.

The latest update on this is that Pace Ward won't give me an agreed valuation because the car mileage is too high at 100,000. I have a quote from Adrian Flux at £492 with agreed value of £13k, but my current insurer is coming in at £299 with no agreed value.
