You Little Bewdy Ross,

Love it mate, The XU1 looks fantastic with those Webbers hanging off the side of that 202 (3.3L) howling 6 pot.

I can't wait to get back home & see some of those Torries racing around in the Biante, Historic Touring Cars.

All the best mate,
Rob.

RACE 2

Ambrose up to tricks again,

Mark Skaife’s hopes of his first V8 Supercar Championship win in Perth nosedived within a few hundred metres of the start of race two when he and Ambrose came together on the first corner. Skaife ended up in the sand and Ambrose at the rear of the field.

It appeared that Ambrose had pushed up on Skaife’s outside as they entered the opening corner but subsequent contact pushed them both off the track.

Ambrose was subsequently charged with reckless driving and docked 25 championship points, as well as having to complete a drive through penalty during the race. He later claimed not to have pleaded guilty but accepted the fine.

“I don’t agree with either decision but for the sake of the Championship you’ve just got to forget about it – that’s the deal,” Ambrose said.

“It’s a tough sport for the adjudicators as well, they’ve got to make tough decisions. It’s done, it’s all over and you’ve got to move on.”

Skaife didn’t mince his words about the incident when he returned to pit lane, claiming that Ambrose was out of order in the incident.

“That was Championship deciding stuff,” Skaife said.

“We were in a position to win this event and now we’ve got a car to fix. We were always going to be side by side from the start. In that situation there should be no crowding.

“The day he thinks I’m ever going to quit driving into the first corner and he can drive across and force me off the road … he’s kidding himself. It’s very disappointing.”

Gee it must have really annoyed you for you to post it four times Rob!!!!
I am still trying to work out how he got back to 5th! int e second race, even with a drive through!!
Lowndes car sadly became a D9 dozer for 2 of the races. It looked rather like the sand he deposited on the track caused Ambrose to fall off the track in the first race whilst leading.
Steven Richards was a bit lucky not to be black flagged in the first race as his car had a lot of oil smoke coming out the back of it! luckily it was just a fitting.
Poor old Brad Jones car ended up on its roof again! Very amusing cross to his brother and Pit manager who mentioned that they would now think about sponsoring the underside of the car after someone had offered after the race in NZ!!!!

Yes, sorry about that, but everytime I posted a message, it wouldn't show on the Site. After posting it 4 times I gave up. As you can see I have deleted them now.

A mate has taped the races for me, I have to watch them & give the Verdict later ok.

Apparently MA was very Quick & came through the Feild. But then again so was Skaifey until the incident, he ended up in the sand, also had car damage & had to pit. Lucky MA again just restarted at the tale of field plus drive through, so didn't affect him as much.

Wouldn't believe it, I wanted to change my Fantacy Team last round in NZ & put Greg Murphy in but forgot to do it, He won event. So I did it for this round & swapped him for gess who ? Steve Richards who won this round. " BUGGER"
