Wheel rim protectors

Hi guys

I am shortly fitting new tyres to 'new' black wheels and have been considering rim protectors. Any thoughts, which brands? [I'll ask on Facebook too]

I have always had tyres with the built in rim protector in the tyre wall. I never park near a kerb anyway as if I did damage a wheel I would have another melt down. I have seen a few cars in my area with coloured rim protectors and a few cars had the odd one missing. I can't see them being very good really as it depends on the height of the kerb and how hard you hit it. You would be better off just by driving slowly up a kerb using the foot print of the tyre.
