Hi, the clutch has finally gone on my AC compressor and I need to take the lot off. Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to remove the compressor? I see two mountings on top next to the cooling hoses, are there more below?

if it’s the same as the ls3 , there are a series of bolts holding the compressor on the bracket , then there are bolts under where the compressor was to remove the bracket from the engine if you need to , working on it you need to work from above and below to get to all the bolts , to get to them it’s a bit of a fiddle , you are supposed to get gas removed , as far as removing the compressor then i think the pipes just bolt on , hope that helps , i only had to change the bracket due to belt jumping but that is how i did it , it’s a fiddle but do able

Cheers I thought there'd be more bolts underneath. Looking at the one in the link below I can see them all now.

Stupid thing is, the compressor works fine, only the clutch has gone!

As i said it was a fiddle , the bracket can be removed with the compressor in place if you have to , i don’t know if just the clutch can be bought or whole unit , then it’s a case of buying used or new , rock auto list parts but but the fed ex route as duty paid already

I have heard you can't replace the clutch, but I have a look around. I'll try rock auto, thanks.
I'm in the US next week, but don't think I'll be able to pop into a dealer and pick one up.
