Hi can any one help, I was driving up on Plymouth Hoe a several weeks ago when the top hose came off.
It has taken the end flange clean off.
The very nice AA man has done a temporary fix, this did get me to Goodwood and back.
Does any one know were I can get a radiator from besides Walkinshaw.
Terry.

Hi Terry , a few posts below look at Mr T Miller , there is some mention of a where too , Rock Auto if you pay fed ex charges on top that is the actual landed price , plus it’s quite a quick delivery , im
more inclined towards Mishimoto as it’s all aluminium

I went Mishimoto too. I presume we are talking Monaro? If so, I got mine from Demon Tweeks at a time when they were on offer for under £300 - get on eBay and I think DT sell them for 'Best Offer'.

Are you living in Plymouth? Is there a specialist you use down there?

Yes I do live in Plymouth, the nearest place to me is Walkinshaw.

The only reason I ask is that I'll be moving back down that way in 2020(!) and wanted to know the state of the independent scene.

I bought a mishimoto one in June as mine sprung a small leak, it was £340 off eBay with very quick delivery.

Are these a perfect fit, no modification or faffing required?

Happened to me after an aircon chap leaned on it and it broke. I contacted my local 'bloke in a shed' and he made me a better rad. Other than getting one made, your options are limited to stock I fear and the inherent weakness you've experienced.

From what I understand the only mod was to the rubbers the rad sits on - they were sliced in half to allow the rad to sit slightly lower.

I still have a factory radiator, but from what I gather, people do say that the alloy Mishimoto is the way to go, and yes there appears to be a little bit of minor trimming to make it fit properly.
A Mishimoto rad is certainly on my "jobs to do list" ( thankfully it's a small list now )

It is slightly bigger than the standard radiator and a wee bit of faffing is required and two plastic shrouds are discarded but so far all seems well with it. There is an installation video clip you can watch first the link comes with the rad and worth watching.

I have been on the Mishimoto web site, my car is not listed Holden or Vauxhall.
I guess I will have to phone them.

^^^ Nice find!
I note they are also selling strut braces for the Monaro. Why would anyone replace the stock one? Just to burn £120?!
