Monaro vxr key

The rubber buttons on the unlock and boot opening on the key head have disintegrated, they still work but would like it sorted, does anyone know what the best way to repair this. Thanks

look for one on ebay and then swap it over , worth changing the battery too whilst you swap it , sometimes depending on the quality of the fob you may need to trim the inners a bit , ive had one good and one not so good fob but both sorted in the end

Thanks for your reply, i did look on eBay but nothing came up under monaro key, my key head looks to be sealed with two screws to hold the blade in or can you open up the head, if I do manage to find a key head how do you programme it to the vehicle.

I've got blue and red buttons on my main and spare keys thanks to another member having spares from an order a few years back.

Many thanks i have just ordered a set and some spares (just in case) I would still be interested to know if the battery in the key head can be replaced.

The fob may not survive being opened , the battery can be bought on ebay and comes with the tabs on the battery , then solder it in which is not that hard to do if you have a solder iron and a bit of solder

They also do a version with the chip included for £8? Seems too good to be true... ?
