Strange question
Discussion
Access to the rear seats in a Monaro is pretty bad, but once you get in there it's very spacious, In fact better than you would expect. I doubt you would cause any issues by moving the seats all the time as seat motors are usually built to take it.
I haven't heard of any problems with seat motors, but some have reported issues with the electric contacts in the switches. There are some cars that have seats that move slightly back and forth under acceleration and breaking. My car suffered this problem but I fixed it years ago using an approved Holden track damper kit.
I hope this helps.

You’d be much better off with a VXR8.
Not only do the seats take an age to move out of the way but when they eventually do there isn’t a huge amount of space to manoeuvre.
On a related note, I don’t think I could daily drive a Monaro any more either. I did it for two years and it was fine at the time but looking back now my Insignia does the mundane daily stuff much better.

The track damper kit I bought from a Vauxhall dealer in Darlington (Sherwood's)
The Part number is V0092138926 for both sides. You need 1 Damper kit per seat, each kit cost around £23.50 ( This was 4 years ago )
The damper was an odd looking thing but basically worked on friction. One end attached to the seat and the other end attached to the rotating shaft from the motor. This acted as a brake. This still allows the seat to move back and forth, but takes up the slack.
On the FAQ section of this forum there are a few pictures showing how to fix a similar problem, however this only applies to the earlier seat design.
If you manage to find a couple of track dampers I will talk you through fitting them. I did post all the info a while ago on this forum so it might be worth a search.
I hope this helps.
