Just a note to say I had my Ro VXR serviced, MoTed and had some tie rod ends fitted by Topcats this week. The car went in on Wednesday, pretty dirty and when I went back today it was clean inside and out! It has been looked over and I have a few little projects to take care of in the next six months but there was no pressure to have the work done there, which is a pleasant change from a lot of garages I have used in the past.

I would highly recommend Topcats; their knowledge of the LS engine, accommodating nature and great customer service is as good as I have dealt with. If you are within 100 miles of Aylesbury (well, Westcott) then it'd be worth using them for your HSV/Holden servicing and maintenance.

As stated in the other thread, I agree. Great service from nice people.

I will go to Topcats for next service , i get one just oil change done locally , the 2 year service with brake fluid then i will Topcats , i was very impressed when we had the ramp day with them they clearly know what they are doing , im sure walkinshaw are vety good too but i don’t want to have to wait months for a service if they are as busy as i heard , the fact they are busy is clearly a good sign for them but not great when you want to book a service

I think Walkinshaws only have one mechanic hence the waiting list!

Just an update from me -

'Without meaning to sound like a broken record, I have been back to Topcats to have a few things done. Although they were busy they squeezed me in and I picked up today with a new Mishimoto radiator and propshaft centre bearing fitted, and all four wheels rebalanced (vibration that it appears was the perished prop support). The guy who did the work showed me the state of the old bearing, and we also had a long chat about how the rad was fitted, rubber supports trimmed to allow the rad to drop in to place, and he even trimmed back the radiator shroud. I had previously trimmed it back myself to fit an OTRCAI but he prettied it up to suit the nice new ally rad fitted!

Car washed, bill very reasonable - again I am an extremely happy customer.'
