Next year I'm hoping to swap my truetrac for a wavetrac. Any idea if it's worth putting up a 20,000 mile truetrac for sale, and if so how much?
I'm also after some door trim rubbers, the ones that run along the outside of the door at the base of the glass. The trouble is now MF have gone who would have these in stock?
Thanks in advance.

£150 each......Hells Bells!!!!!!! In that case for what they are the old ones will have to last.
There is nothing wrong with the Truetrac, other than the constant clunking at low speeds especially around the town. On the open road it's quiet.
There just seems to be so much slack in it, but it actually works fine. It would be ideal for someone to use on the drag strip, or even on track days. I hope to have a Wavetrac fitted in April, and it had better be an improvement or I will be a tad annoyed!!!!!!!!!!

If your current diff is working and has no issues....that'd be an expensive swap for no real benefit ?I'm also after some door trim rubbers, the ones that run along the outside of the door at the base of the glass. The trouble is now MF have gone who would have these in stock?
Thanks in advance.

Eaton Trutrac is a torsen diff just the same as a Wavetrac.
No torsen should ever clunk or make any noise.
And whilst Regal are a UK supplier, certainly do not believe them if they claim they have units in stock.
I placed an order for mine via their website which clearly showed in stock....only to be told they didnt have stock and needed to order in from the US. And even after arguing with them for a few days about this, them making all sorts of excuses...their website the entire time still shows units in stock.
Very poor show from them, although eventually they did supply....
Except I had also requested some steel clutch packs that are supposed to help prevent one wheel spin better than the carbon......and they supplied spare carbon plates instead. WTF.
Although the blame there can lie with Wavetrac in the US, who claimed they offered the steel plates...except not for my specific model it seems. Nice of someone to tell me this prior to it arriving here and me already having been charged.

As far as I'm aware, the Wavetrac has tighter production tolerance's than a Truetrac, together with the stub axels having better support. I'm hoping that this will reduce the clunking to a manageable level. Performance wise I can't see that there would be much difference
I intend to (finances permitting) purchase the Wavetrac from AAS in Newcastle. If anybody can get a deal on a Wavetrac that's the place to go. Hopefully I will find out the cost after Christmas.
My car is off the road until April in any case so I'm fixing up a few low cost jobs first.
On a different topic, I have a stainless steel fuel line to replace the rubber one at the rear of the passenger side cylinder block, (the one that sometimes rubs through....and destroys the entire car! ) any idea where to get the tool to separate the fuel line?

I'll send you mine if I can find it, but I don't think they're expensive. I might need an email reminder! I think I got it from summit, but might just have been eBay.John

Thank you that's a very kind offer, but I'll get AAS to get me one as they deal with Summit Racing all the time.Regards John

The LH window mouldings (92093580) are still available. I got some last week for £80 each. They were showing 16 more in the UK at the time. The RH (92093578) aren’t available anywhere (including Aus and US) as far as I can tell. Looking at the part it should be possible to make a close enough approximation of the RH part from a LH part.

Thanks JimV8, I will look into that. Edited by JimV8 on Thursday 14th December 00:05
This looks like a good candidate for the after market to make a replacement part.
