Same for me - APlan in Thatcham - used them for the Commodore GTS and also for the Ute

I am with Sky at the moment (not sure for how much longer though), I have altered my agreed value policy since I have just spent a small fortune.
The thing is the rang me and said that I should just go for the non-agreed value policy and that would be better for me. I said what if a little old lady writes my ute off I'll get the paid out what a standard ute is worth rather than an agreed value. He said just show them your receipts and they will give you more money, not sure that will work?? I said I have spent 25k since last insurance renewal and they were talking about an agreed value of 2500 more than last year, I said what is the point in an agreed value policy then if they would only give me 2500 more than last policy.

Insurance being the corrupt bds that they are, will try and pay out as little as possible, and usually do not give a flying fk what a vehicle is worth to its owner. Even when they are totally innocent and in no way whatsoever should they be out of pocket.

Why should it matter that you own/drive a £20k Ute ( that might book lower ), vs some other vehicle worth £20k that might appear more valuable according to some silly books they use ?
The value is the value to the owner, to replace like for like without question. Not for some asswipe insurance prick to say otherwise.

You'd like to think that's how the system works.

Il ask my boss who he is insured with as he has a HSV ute and a WR Supercharged GTS.

Well Sky have agreed to my valuation on the Ute which is good. It kind of sounded at the time as if the guy on the phone couldn't be bothered going through my massive list of mods that I had sent. Hence perhaps him trying to steer me towards a non agreed valuation policy. Good old Sky. clap
