I thought I had posted something along these lines already but can't find it, so anyway....

I have an annoying issue with my 2005/6 CV8 where the Speeds on the analogue & digital displays can quite often differ vastly.

There is no pattern or commonality to it - sometimes the needle reads higher by up to +20mph, sometimes can be lower by the same margin. Most commonly they are 5-10mph out, either way (+/-), and sometimes they match.

I don't know which reading to trust, so to err on the side of caution, I often work from whichever the highest reading is to hopefully be on the right side of the law....

As you can imagine though, this is very annoying and I would like to resolve it.
I was thinking of replacing the cluster with that from a breaker - can anyone advise if this is feasible in a simple manner or do they need coding etc?
Has anyone had the same issue or do you know a fix?

As far as I'm aware I'm still fitted with the standard Diff and it's also still fitted with OEM 18" wheels.

I believe the cluster just plugs in and works, but it will retain the mileage from the donor car. Make sure you get the right year.
