Monaro LED Spoiler Break Light
Discussion
Hi All,
This may be a stupid question, but me and cars dont go together
Basically a while back ordered a new LED break light as most of the bulbs when I picked up the Monaro has seen better days.... got a replacement from Monkfish and went about fitting it yesterday, now is there a way to get the wires out of the connector shown in the picture or would it be easier to cut and get a replacement for my new light? if so where can I get one? I did try and google but nothing looks similar and Im sure it will be a generic electrical connector.
Any help would be much appreciated

You'll have to use the upload image in compose/reply page, photobucket changed their system and no photos hosted on there are hot-linkable now without you paying for it.
As for the connector, I can't find a stock photo, but you shoud be able to unplug it. Even if you've got to stick a small screwdriver in it to release.
This is the connector I think your looking at.

That looks like the beauty... not having a fun time trying to stick a small screwdriver in and releasing I dont want to apply to much pressure as the connector is starting to bendAs for the connector, I can't find a stock photo, but you shoud be able to unplug it. So, your replacement light has a different connector ( socket ) ? I'm presuming that the connector in the photo is attached to the car ?
So.... the new light doesn't have a connector just the cables so I need this connector to attach those cables and then plug back into the main loom on the car, but the wires wont come out easily so I was wondering if I could buy that connector anywhere or keep trying to pries it out?Just chop it off, then use chocolate block or similar to connect all the wires together. If the wires are too short, making re-installing a pain, take the opportunity to lengthen them to make your life easier.
Or be a proper oik and just bare the ends of both sets of wires twist together and tape up with electrical tape.
There are very few electrical jobs I do on cars that don't end up with those connectors in the mix somewhere !
