Looking for an LS1 air flow meter just in case I need to go down maf route instead of mafless for when my engine is getting tuned.

I can't think of any circumstances where you'd need the MAF sensor. As long as the tune is good, there are arguments against it (especially if you've got an OTR intake - not enough pipe length really).

I do have an LS3 card MAF with the adapter to LS1 if you want an upgrade/get desperate for a MAF.

Maybe I should leave it till I drop the ute off and speak to the engine builder to see what he thinks, it's just that he mentioned that it might be a better way for me to go once I get shut of the prick lumpy N/A cam that's in it. I'll be back in touch in a couple of weeks if I need it then. Thanks.

There's been lots of heated discussion about MAF vs. MAFless on this forum over the years, have a search back.

Do you know the spec of the cam you have? It would have to be massive to not be fixable with a better tune. Even if it's properly massive, a good tuner and a custom OS (which allows options like open loop idle or even alpha-n around idle) should sort it. I'd be surprised if it's properly massive in this country!

I only got a vague description of cam when I bought the ute but it's just all wrong, so I don't really know what it is fully to be honest. Normally aspirated comp cam, was told it comes on cam at 4k rpm and is on a supercharged LS1 and burns your eyes. Too much valve over lap I think, Dave who I bought it from said he wasn't bothered about it running rich as he was running it for completion stuff rather than daily driver and was full throttle most of the time. It'll be getting sorted out in a couple of weeks before it kills me, as I have mentioned in many posts before.
New cam and forged internals and full rebuild getting done so that'll do the trick then I'll want to drive it unlike now.

Ah yes, I remember now...sounds like you're changing it for the right reasons. I think you won't want a MAF...you may hit the (512g/s?) hard limit anyway.
