New guy Just bought a CV8
Discussion
Hi all,
Last week I bought a monaro, it was previously owned by a member of this forum.
Ive given the wheels a change of colour, sorted the brakes as the car had had little use and the AP discs had rusted badly and the pads had glazed over.
Does anyone know if C5 Corvette engine covers will fit? OR will it need a fitting kit?
I hate the standard cover!
Also if I replace the wheels with more 18" what offset can I get away with?
Thanks for looking

Hi mate, glad to see the old girl found a good home really pleased it went to you.
If my next car doesn't click I may want first refusal I need to make 6 cylinders sound as good as 'your' car, I had a good 6 years.
I actually bought a set of corvette covers but never fitted them off a member on here called boostedls I think they would need a bit of trimming due to the route the throttle cabaret goes but I believe it is possible.

Put LS1 engine covers into Oz ebay and plenty will come up that are built to fit the Commodore/Monaro. Most are copied off the HSV GTS 300kw car (GTS-R in the UK) I think SS Inductions made the first copies which everyone has now copied!
The later VZ Monaro had split engine covers which I think fit to. Should be able to find them, they are obviously more factory looking. Have to undo and remove the turtle cover mounting brackets to fit these as they clip to the fuel rails.

I still love the look of the cv8.
Wow! Long time no..... and all that! How's things? For us originals, we've missed you.
And you are so right about the under stated
look of the CV8.
I remember the animal burn out sound as you left Rockingham after a Touring Car event.

Hi interested in knowing what model Range Rover the discs are as I have the same disc set up as you only been on a year and warped already sad thing is I only use the car about once a week high days and holidays and I'm not a part articulately fast driver so your disc set up would be a cheaper alternative
