This may have been the couple I stopped to chat with after we met on the road from Falmouth, I'm in a silver Monaro, we stopped by ASDA to chat cars. They were on hols from Milton Keynes.

I drove past a silver small boot (VZ) Monaro on Friday when I was driving toward Falmouth on the A39. Tried to wave but don't think I was spotted... was that you by any chance?

Also saw a silver VXR Monaro in Falmouth along the sea front recently. Surprised how many are in the area smile

Travel the A39 everyday for work, so that would have been me. I do look out for VXR's. Corsa. Vectra and the odd Astra, seen a black cv8 in Penzance. Do wave when I see cars, what I always liked about VXR owning, bit of friendly enthusiasm for the cars.
Any V8 clubs in Cornwall you know of?
Have heard of a silver Ro in Falmouth, not seen her though.

Good to spot another local Monaro in that case thumbup

I'm based in Truro with my silver big boot CV8.

Due to the corner and closing speed I didn't even have a chance to flash my lights to say hi. Not aware of any local V8 clubs. Don't even know of any good local meets.

Where do you go to get the car serviced etc? I'm still feeling the loss of NWJ Autocare after moving to Cornwall in January (but the clear roads more than make up for it biggrin)

Should meet up sometime then.
I get my car done at Medlin Motors (Blackwater, he is called Simon, I made the car of the month on his Facebook page 😁) after an Australian friend gave his recommendations. He had worked on a Maloo before and has been very good to me and the car since. I have no complaints. I had the same problem, starting to trust someone with the pride and joy. Bit scarce here for specialists 😀.
So that's 4 Monaro/CV8 in this little corner of the county.

Thanks for the mechanic recommendation surfluds thumbup

I think we should have a go at creating our own V8 mini meet. Never realised how many of these cars have found their way to this corner of the UK.
